an unexpected expense
Hi Folks,
Carolyn and I have found it necessary to purchase an airline ticket for her, unexpectedly. If God touches anyone's heart to help us with this expense we would be most appreciative.
Carolyn is going to the United States for awhile, until the political situation here in Puerto Cabezas quiets down. I feel much better knowing that she is safe, and working hard for our missions success in the United States.
As long I can, I will continue in service here in Puerto Cabezas. I don't expect any further violence here, and none at all to be directed towards me...or I would maybe be on a plane also (grin). God has called us to this area, not as martyrs, but as missionaries (we believe).
The situation is still very volatile here in Nicaragua and I will continue to monitor and exchange information about the events here as they unfold. I strive very hard to be completely nonpolitical, as most of you know, when it comes to the internal politics of this area. I will stay out of it, politically.
I covet your prayers for our adopted city (Bilwi) as I continue in service here.
Dios le bendiga grandemente a su familia y ministerio.
