conference in Bonanza Nicaragua
Hi Folks,
Just wanted to let you know that the regional conference in Bonanaza was a BLAST!
We had three days of Spirit FILLED activity! The first night not everyone was there, but the second and third nights...wow! Powerful.
The second night, I believe we had about 18 people accept Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Sunday night, easily double that amount did the same. For a town the size of Bonanza that is a miracle.
Bonanza is a small mining town about midway between the capital city of Managua and where we live in Puerto Cabezas. It is slightly off of the road. The road passing from Managua to Puerto Cabezas goes through Rosita, which is about an hour away (by bus) from Bonanza. There are only 13,000 people living there, and only ONE Church of God building (if you can call it THAT...a building I mean).
I felt like I had stepped into the past while I was there. If anyone has ever seen a "mining camp" in the westerns on TV and in the movies, you can easily visualize the atmosphere in this little town. We ALL felt very blessed to be a part of the convention. Salvation!
Things in Puerto Cabezas are the same, no new news, and thank GOD for THAT. Ministry continues, and lives are being changed and rescued by Jesus Christ every day.
