Many blessings this month
Hi Folks,
We have received many blessings and word of many more to come this month.
Our "month of blessings" began with the annual conference at the Cooper City Church of God, in the Miami area. link
Carolyn and I like the other 65 or so missionaries who were able to attend had a wonderful, blessed and truly Spiritual experience this year (as always) at Cooper City. I know that the Cooper City conference is amongst the greatest each year, and we cherish the friends we have there.
Immediately following the Cooper City conference I was able to drive my truck from Miami to Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua! The drive was long, and burdensome as I was by myself, but God blessed the journey and enable me to make short work of it. I saw many instances of God's blessings along the route. The borders seemed shorter, except the one into Honduras and Mexico, and the journey itself was comparatively easier than I had thought it would be. I had many friends and family praying for me as I "trudged along" and I felt each prayer, as though being lifted aloft in song along the way.
Upon my arrival into Managua the National Overseer, Antonio Martinez, blessed us by an invitation to a regional conference in Managua. We saw many friends there that we hadn't seen in quite some time. The evening services easily had over 12,000 people attending! What a crowd and WHAT A SPIRIT was present! We were quite impressed, not only with the organizational effort displayed but by the quality of the total experience that each pastor and participant encountered there. Good job brother Antonio!
Brother Antonio is also working on acquiring an exoneration of taxes for my truck and the other items which I brought into the country...please keep THAT little project in your prayers.
We have now officially received a letter declaring that NO PARKING FEES ARE TO BE CHARGED TO US FOR PARKING THE AIRPLANE. This is a really big deal, as the fee is $5 per day normally. That can add up to $150 per month to our already overstretched budget. So we are thrilled that this letter has now actually been sent out to ALL of the airports in this country. Hallelujah, and praise God!
Additionally, we have a chance at receiving other funding from an organization here in Puerto Cabezas for MORE flying of the airplane, for forest patrols.
It is very important that EACH OF YOU UNDERSTAND that all of these good tiding are acts of God. There is nothing special about Carolyn or I (well, maybe Carolyn) that can accomplish these things. It is truly evidence that God is making LARGE FOOTPRINTS in Nicaragua right now.
We have felt His presence like never before here. It is awesome and humbling to us. We praise His Name, and ask that ALL glory be given solely to Him!
