Interesting week or so has passed.

Hi Folks,

I haven't been able to update our blog in the last 11 or 12 days, and much has happened.

We were blessed to be able to attend church services with Brother Roberto Aldana of Guatemala on Sunday the 20th of January. Brother Aldana is a gifted speaker and we were very blessed to be able to attend both his morning and evening sessions.

In the morning it was a local church in Managua, a really large church (although the church was in a building process and had no walls). Believe it or not, this was the first time that Carolyn or I had EVER attended services in Managua! We have been to many many services in Nicaragua of course, but NEVER in Managua. We are usually in such a hurry to get to Puerto Cabezas (home) that we don't take time to "linger in Managua...and the timing to attend services here just has never worked out.

It was an interesting service, both in the morning in Managua and that evening in Granada. Lots of banner waving, and many many people slain in the Spirit. Quite different than what we've become accustomed to in Puerto Cabezas.

Other occurences: I had to stop by immigration yet again the 21st to get PERMISSION to leave the country. Now that I am officially a resident, this is a requirement. For those of you that are unfamiliar with this "immigration" status of "resident", let me assure you that I have in NO WAY given up any of my rights, or responsibilities as a United States citizen. I AM STILL A PROUD AMERICAN. I just reside outside the country currently.

I finally got the "moto" registered in Puerto, so it is now legal. I gave a moving testimony on Sunday night 27th of January. It was picked up by two local radio stations and rebroadcast several times. I basically explained what a missionary is, and why Carolyn and I do what we do. God moved during this testimony and He was responsible for many people calling in and saying it touched their hearts. How encouraging for us.

We passed out many calendars with our pictures on them to local businesses. There is a picture of us and the airplane on the top of the calendar and many people really liked receiving them. We actually had a guy who passed through the local "aduana" office (import/export office) who saw the calendar and contacted us. We had dinner with him last night. He is a fellow "volunteer" who lives about an hour and a half outside of Puerto Cabezas. He is also a fellow pilot. It was a good dinner, and it always is, with fellow Christians, and pilots.

We have participated in many other forms of ministry in the last few days also. We helped a pregnant lady get to Managua, flew the airplane for a "recurrency eval" for Carolyn, prayed for and with many many people. Typical stuff that keeps your humble missionaries VERY BUSY.

We pray that God is blessing you richly, deeply and fully!
