Collinwood and Waynesboro TOMORROW

I know that some of you live near Collinwood or Waynesboro (both in Tennessee). Carolyn and I would love to see you come out tomorrow for a visit at the Collinwood Church of God (http://collinwoodcog.org/).

We will be at Pastor Banes church in Collinwood for the two morning services, and at Pastor Timothy Owen's church in Waynesboro for the evening service. This is real close to Dickson, TN where a friend and supporter lives!!

Hope you can make it Chris, if not then maybe Carolyn and I can stop in to see you on Monday if we have time?

Please come on down to the Collinwood and the Waynesboro Church of God for a visit with us. Come up and introduce yourself and we'll have a chat about missionary work in Nicaragua and Honduras.

Lots to do

I am sitting here in Phoenix, AZ about to have lunch with my in-laws (George, Jerry and Margie). I know that they have had some minor reservations with the path that God has called us to accomplish.

I see this as an opportunity to share with them exactly what it is that we are led to accomplish in Nicaragua working with the Moskito Indian peoples. I intend to openly and honestly invite ALL their questions. Unfortunately, we only have an hour for lunch, as I am off to Napa, CA and then to Bakersfield, and then to Tucson and on to San Francisco after that today (being a pilot, my job takes me all over the country...and beyond).

I beseech you for your prayers. There has been an issue with Carolyn's grandfather (George) having an aversion to religion in general. G'pa George has long ago decided that religion is a bunch of fairy tales, and stories. Wow, it pains me just to WRITE that. G'pa George will be 102 years old in nine days, so please pray that God will make a way to open his eyes, and his heart to Jesus.

We also have much to do to this upcoming week.

We are meeting with the congregation of Pastor Richard Banes church on Sunday morning (the 1rst) in Collinwood, TN and Sunday night with Pastor Owen in Waynesboro, TN. We pray that God will touch their hearts for our ministry and that God will give us the words to impart our calling to them. Pray with us, please.

We are still considering the purchase (if God brings the funds) of a small Cessna140 aircraft. This little bitty airplane would be an ideal tool for training the indigenous people to become missionary pilots. It is a "largish" expense, but essential. The timing may or may not be right, please help us to figure that one out......by prayer, of course.

Carolyn and I always value your input, and advice. Don't hesitate...if God lays a word on your heart for us, then send it along.

Where we're at in our Nicaragua move

We have raised our personal support to live in Nicaragua. What a relief and blessing it is to be able to say that! Hallelujah!

ALTHOUGH IT MAY NOT SOUND LIKE IT, THIS EMAIL IS A CRY FOR HELP FROM OUR CHRISTIAN BRETHREN.

What THAT means is that we will more than likely NOT starve to death once we move to Nicaragua. What is doesn't mean, is that God has released the necessary funds to operate the aircraft, and perform our mission, upon our arrival into Puerto Cabezas. We are wondering when God will make this move, as to us, it appears to be the "next step".

Please help us to bring awareness to our Christian brothers and sisters of our need in this area, as God will make his mighty move through some of YOU, if you allow Him to do so.

Your many prayers concerning our house have borne fruit! It now appears likely that we will be able to rent our house out while we are living in Nicaragua. God has shown us the wisdom of retaining our abode for a future retirement, or possibly for other purposes which He has foreseen in our lives. The retention of our house gives us another opportunity for praise, and for prayer. We praise God for having ultimate wisdom and dominion in our lives, and pray to God that He will help us to keep good renters in the house and that no major difficulties will ensue. We are praying that in the next two weeks we will have the house settled (rented). Pray with us for that, please!

We have six commitments with churches in the Southeastern United States to share our mission with their congregations in the next three months. We are currently thinking, and praying for guidance, on the scheduling of our move to Nicaragua. We can use your prayers, and advice on this also.

On July 1rst, we will be in the Waynesboro, TN area for three different presentations to congregations, and Pastors. We hope to enlighten the Waynesboro area as to our mission and to raise support for the operation our mission in La Moskitia. Schedule wise, we can make that trip easily. We know that the Waynesboro area abounds with the faithful, and pray that God will show these congregations how He may use them to further His Kingdom! We have been to this area before, and need your prayers that Pastor Bane, and Pastor Owen will find resources that have as yet been unavailable in that area to strengthen God's desires in La Moskitia, through us. Please pray for this!

Casa de Servicio, and it's mission in La Moskitia is in need of financial support, and that means we are in need of prayer! I have been presented with an opportunity to take part in a short-term deployment to Iraq with a contract company as a pilot.

I would be paid handsomely for this three month-long deployment, and have been considering doing it. If I did this, it would necessitate a delay in our move to Nicaragua. On reflection, delaying our move for what amounts to purely financial reasons, no matter the intent, seems to be an attempt by Satan to delay our move. We are praying for clarity in this.

If we wanted to delay the true implementation of our move for financial reasons, we could easily justify doing so, we could simply retain our jobs at Flight Options. But the point of God's call in our life is to conduct this mission for His Kingdom, and to sacrifice our lives to service to Him. So I am currently thinking that the move should go forward as speedily as possible. We sure could use YOUR help (financially, AND prayerfully) to encourage us that we are thinking straight on this matter.

Casa de Servicio NEEDS YOU

We need your prayers, and we need your wisdom and advice.

As we stand on the precipice of Saintly endeavor, as we leap across the chasm between talk and action, as we bow our heads and bend our knees to the Almighty in service to His Kingdom...we humbly seek your prayerful intercession.

There are many "details" that must be accomplished before we leave for Nicaragua, not the least of which is that we must sell our house in Cleveland, TN. We, like most people, financed our house through the bank. In order that our expenses be lessened (as will our income) while we are in Nicaragua we MUST SELL OUR HOUSE before we quit our "day jobs". We earnestly seek your prayerful intervention so that God may send a buyer this week!

We are still in the process of raising the necessary funds to OPERATE the Aztec, and possibly a small Cessna140 (training aircraft, for the Miskito Indians) during our vital Air Evacuation and Ambulance service in La Miskitia. Although we have raised our personal budget at this point, we are wondering at what time God will release the necessary funds for the OPERATION of the Aviation Ministry which we will perform in Nicaragua. If God is speaking to your heart about this service, do not hesitate, ACT NOW. Please go to our website (http://www.casadeservicio.org/projects/index.html) and donate to our ministry, or send us a check for the amount which God is putting into your heart NOW. This ministry is READY to serve God through YOUR HELP!

We stand at the end of the runway, ready for takeoff. Please pray and ACT, so that God may receive the glory for the good works which He will accomplish THROUGH YOU.

Many exciting things going on!

I was able to reposition the Aztec to the Lantana airport (South Florida, near Palm Beach International Airport) last Monday. It was a good flight down, I took my time and made the trip in just under four hours.

I met several new and interesting people on the way back from Lantana, as well as took some time to stop in and see some good friends.

I will have to take some real time and let you know how things went on the trip back, so call me and I'll fill you in. It was a HUGE blessing though, the whole trip. I was surprised, pleased and blessed. When I get home from work, I'll fill in the details on this "blog" also, but if you just can't wait, give me a call. It was a couple of God Blessed, and very productive days though.

Don't forget that Carolyn and I will be in the Waynesboro, TN area on July the first to share our mission with the inhabitants therein....grin! Keep THAT in prayer.

"Props" to Pastor Nesbitt, the Bagby family (et.al.), Pastor Johnny Johnson, and his Missions director David Smoot, and a new friend, Jay (the Chief Pilot at Lantana airport).
More later, I promise! I'll be home on Thursday.

Moving the Aztec

After consultation with Pastor Cardinal Nesbitt, I have decided to move the aircraft to Lantana, Florida. Pastor Nesbitt seems to think that the aircraft has a good chance to sell from that location.

I am also taking the opportunity to MEET with Pastor Nesbitt tomorrow afternoon. I am very much looking forward to doing that. Pastor Nesbitt and I haven't met as yet, but we have conversed through emails, and on the telephone. We are praying for a mighty move of God in the south Florida area through the works of Pastor Nesbitt's church (http://www.lwcog.com).
Please keep my flight in prayer tomorrow morning.

While driving back from Florida (in a rental car) I am going to take the opportunity to meet with Maik Bagby, who is doing some very interesting work in the La Moskitia region on the lower Rio Coco. I am excited to meet Maik, and pray that we will find similar interests abound in our conversation. Maik Bagby's ministry also has a website: (http://www.seekthelamb.com/)

I am also going to meet with Pastor Johnny Johnson's director of Missions (David and Diane) in Ocala on the way back from the Miami area (Lantana). Some of you know that Pastor Johnson has become more and more involved in our ministry in Nicaragua in conjunction with his own missionary pursuits on the western side of the country. Pastor Johnson's church has a website: (http://www.wingsoffaith.com/index.html)

We are praying about the purchase of a Cessna 140 (taildragger little plane) to be used in our ministry in Puerto Cabezas for a training aircraft to train indigenous people to become pilots. I just heard about what seems to be a really good little C140 for sale in the Athens, TN area. The purchase price is $21,000.00 (wanna "step up"?) GRIN!

God bless you!
