Well Folks,
It looks like our "re-departure" to Nicaragua will be delayed once again!
As the new month rolled around, so did a sequenced reminder, the Aztec needs an annual inspection. All civil aircraft in the United States, and in most other countries too, are required to undergo an extensive inspection at least once per year to make sure that they are mechanically normal.
Unfortunately, the Aztecs inspection is going to last almost a month this year due to the timing. The two mechanics that can do the job are busy right up until the end of the year and the inspection itself takes about a week.
The good news is that Carolyn and I will be staying in the United States through Christmas and probably the first week of January.
The bad news is that Carolyn and I will be forced to stay in the United States through Christmas and probably the first week of January.
The REAL bad news is that the inspection will cost $2500-3000 dollars...ouch!
We want to be back in Puerto Cabezas to be with our new friends, working beside them over the Christmas Season, but also are feeling very blessed to be able to spend at least SOME of the Season with family and friends.
Please keep us in prayer as the mechanics try to hurry their work and complete the inspection more quickly!
God Bless!
Dios le bendiga grandemente a su familia y ministerio.
