Time to breathe
I just realized today that I haven't taken "time to breathe" since returning from Puerto Cabezas. I am taking some time today.
I keep remembering the devastation that those poor Moskito people are going through, and the hunger that they will be facing in the coming year due to their crops being lost...it makes me sad.
I remember seeing a woman over 80 years old whose house had been partly demolished in the village of "Kawnsirpi" (spelling?). I noticed a bandage around her right arm and asked her what it was. She had her forearm broken durng the storm and didn't have the resources to get it fixed. So she just put a bandage around it and told me, "God has given me this to bear". Wow, I didn't know what to say to that. Of course we helped her. I met her three days after the storm had passed, and she was just working to get her house rebuilt...WITH the broken arm.

I remember many many Pastors from the Church of God (and others, of course) that were living outside with their families, and neighboring families, beside the remains of their houses as they patiently rebuilt, with almost NO RESOURCES to do so.

I remember seeing children working to give their families something to eat, when all around them was nothing but devastation and rubble.

And most of all, I remember the face of the PEOPLE that continue to be affected by this uncaring, unfeeling force of nature named "Felix".

GOD BLESS YOU!
