Back from Nica and going back again in a few days

I am back from Nicaragua (Puerto Cabezas), but I am going back "in country" in a few days.
The Church of God has/is responding magnificently to the crisis in Puerto Cabezas and the surrounding communities. To date (and remember it is ONLY one week since Hurricane Felix hit and decimated the Atlantic Coast of Nicaragua) the Church of God has responded with cash, and has sent 3 full containers of relief goods, with possibly a fourth en route. There has been couple of needs apparent for some time in Puerto Cabezas as well. The Pastors on the coast have been CRYING to see the extremely remote communities amongst the cayos (cays) of the Caribbean but there has been NO BOAT for this purpose available. As a consequence of this devastating storm, there was no word from 15 Church of God churches as to how the families were doing, or if they had survived. The Church of God "stepped up" to meet this need in a truly Christian caring fashion. God bless the good men and women of the Church of God for their caring hearts! The relief effort has been "spear-headed" by the office of disaster assistance, headed by Doctor Richard Baker.
I will be going back to Nica to continue my efforts in coordinating the relief drive. I will be working with the local Pastors, the national overseer (Antonio Martinez) the Supervisor of the RAAN and RAAS (Pastor Gustavo Zavala) and Richard Bakers son (I believe his name was Mitch?).
I expect to be traveling back on Monday...but that date is flexible depending on circumstances.
God Bless!
Richard
