Big time in Savannah, TN last weekend!

Hi Folks,

What a MARVELOUS blessing we had this last weekend. Carolyn and I had the opportunity to fellowship with Mike Justice in Savannah, TN this past weekend while we attended a missions banquet. Pastor Justice is one of those outstanding folks who have a heart turned utterly and completely towards missions!

We were hosted by the Savannah area Churches of God at a missions banquet Saturday evening and were blessed with the opportunity to actually present our mission DIRECTLY to four separate churches on Sunday morning and Sunday night. We spent the morning services at the Soul's Harvest Church of God in Savannah, and the Savannah Church of God...AND the Collinwood Church of God! Three churches all in one morning! It was a busy and exciting time for us! We met so many interesting and faithful people while in the Savannah area. Pastor Pickens, and Pastor Redden II, and their flocks welcomed us with open arms. It was truly a blessed time. Later that evening we were extremely blessed to be under the roof of Pastor Owen and the Waynesboro Church of God.
Sunday evening we were ALL able to attend services together at the Waynesboro Church of God, in Waynesboro, TN. WHAT a blessed event we had that evening. Pastor Justice raised the bar when it came to an impassioned plea for support of our mission! I know that each of us has a gift from God, and after this awesome opportunity to get better acquainted with Pastor Justice I can confidently say that "Brother Mike", Justice has the gift of eloquence. Carolyn and I both felt a sense of renewed spirit from participating in his service. MANY THANKS TO PASTOR JUSTICE, AND OF COURSE THE GLORY GOES TO GOD FOR PUTTING US TOGETHER ON THAT WEEKEND TRIP!

Carolyn and I are off to Florida first thing in the morning, and we have been preparing to meet with several Pastors in the Jacksonville area this week...keep these meeting on your prayer lists, PLEASE!

We are back in the USA as of yesterday

Hi Folks,

Carolyn and I (Richard) are back in the USA as of yesterday. While the trip to Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua was mainly for logistical and planning purposes...we DID have many spiritual benefits while we were there as well.

I was given the opportunity to preach in a local church in Puerto Cabezas (pictures, and possibly video to follow) while there. It was well received and I got a huge blessing out of meeting the people at this little church (it was so small that they had no walls, just a tin roof). The church has just recently been "officially recognized", I'm not sure it even has a name yet...just a bunch of truly devout, and spiritual people. Carolyn and I were also given the opportunity to spend about 20 minutes or so at church services on Sunday night discussing our mission with the local "Iglesias de Dios" (Church of God) in Puerto Cabezas. We were VERY well received and found out to our astonishment that the pastors all over the La Mosquitia region have been speaking of our mission up and down the coast in many, many small to tiny villages in the region. So we have had lots and lots of prayer devoted to the accomplishment of the tasks which God has laid out for us.

Please add YOURSELF to our list of prayer partners.

While we were in NICARAGUA, we had the chance to meet with Lieutenant Colonel Martinez of the Nicaraguan Army to discuss whether or not we would be able to base our airplane on military property when we arrive permanently in Puerto Cabezas. The Colonel made several phone calls to Managua on our behalf, and although he was unable to acquire the necessary permission from his "higher-ups", we feel as though we made an important contact in this man. Lt. Col. Martinez was very impressed with what we are attempting to accomplish and it seems that he will take steps to help us when he can. Pray for this with us, please.

We had the opportunity to discuss aircraft tie-downs facilities with the local airport, and received word that upon receipt of a "constancia" from the Church of God, through Managua that we would very likely receive permission to park there for free. This would be a HUGE blessing to our efforts, so that is one more thing which we would like you to keep in prayer for us. Please.

I don't have the time at this moment to fill you in on everything that we did while there this last week...but I will tell you more when I see you. I picked up a great joke from a guy in Puerto Cabezas....give me a call and I'll tell it to you.
