lots of activity

Hi Folks,

Well, there has been lots of activity in the month or so that has passed.

I was blessed to be able to make a trip to both Texas and Florida in support of our missionary work. Our mission was blessed in both of those states and we are praying (you can help with THAT) that more blessings will follow.

I have to tell you about a group of people that we were blessed to have met while in Florida. I have nicknamed this group, "The Christ's Disciples". I do not know if they have an "official" name for their gathering. The group is in fellowship and led, by a gentleman whose name is Sandy. Sandy and his group are a very devout group. The unofficial leader of the group and the original progenitor of the group is Russell Cook, and his wife Connie. I have rarely met a more devout group of people, or a group so in synchronization with one another. This group is absolutely devout in their adherence to biblical principles and the lifestyle commanded by the bible. It was a pure pleasure to meet and interact with a group of folks that LIVES what they espouse to believe.

Of course, I meet people everyday that live their lives based upon the tenets of the bible, and the moral code inherent within. This group stood out mainly due to their absolute faith in Jesus and His teachings. Absolute faith. I guess that makes them pretty much like every other Christian huh? We pray that THAT is true of all of us. Anyone that wishes to know more about this group, and what it was that made them so "special" to us, just send me an email, or letter, and I'll fill you in.

While I was in Texas I had the opportunity to meet with Pastor Terry Richardson of the Valley Hi Assembly of God Church in San Antonio. Pastor Richardson invited us to send information about our missionary work to his Missions Committee. We have done so and we fervently request prayer that the missions committee will find favor with our work. I know that the Valley Hi Church is working in Nicaragua also, so our partnership is a natural one. Please pray for our approval by their board!

Carolyn (my wife) and I have been offered an interesting opportunity to spend 6 months to a year in Honduras in preparation for our final and permanent move to Nicaragua. The opportunity is one that will bless us spiritually and give us the opportunity to continue to improve our language, cultural and logistical arrangement skills. Another need for prayer here.

It is our combined prayers which will see us through these preparatory times.
PLEASE do not forget to add our mission to YOUR prayer list!

Dios le bendiga grandemente en a su familia y ministerio.
