Casa de Servicio, fund-raising...and opportunities
Hi Gang,
Casa de Servicio was blessed with the opportunity this weekend to widen it's circle of friends and supporters! Through God's glorious grace, and the help of Charles Lambert, and Rick Waldrop, Casa de Servicio was invited to attend a Missions Banquet at the Dayton Church of God, in Dayton, TN. Last Saturday evening we went and fellowshipped with like-minded Christians and briefly outlined what it is that Casa de Servicio does. We had the chance to share with others our mission towards Emergency Medical Evacuation in Nicaragua and the bringing of Christ's Word to impoverished areas. It was a wonderful time of fellowship, and Brother Mike Justice (the Pastor of the Dayton Church of God) did an outstanding job of introducing all of the missionaries that were present. We had some good ole' fashioned home-cookin' while we were there and enjoyed the fellowship of many, many fellow believers. It was a wonderful time!
An outgrowth of this special occasion was the Casa de Servicio received an invitation to speak, and share our mission with the Graysville Church of God the following Sunday morning. What a blessing THAT was. Some of the people that are on the list to receive this "blog" may not understand the impact of hearing a truly annointed Church of God preacher speak about missions...but if you haven't heard it...Good Lord, hurry down the the nearest Church of God and experience it! Pastor Jimmy Talley "brought the house down" with his truly annointed message. It was a simply awesome experience. I was assured by the 200 or so people in attendance that this is a "normal" occurance at the Graysville Church of God. Nothing "normal" about it to me...it was an exceptionally spiritual service and a true, true blessing for Carolyn and I to be there! Pastor Talley's wife Renee...I can't say enough about that little fireball! Sister Talley's talent for singing, and obviously annointed choice of songs really set the tone for a good old-fashioned Spirit renewing service! As they say in show business...Sister Talley "has chops"...(that is about the highest compliment the secular world has to offer when it comes to singing talent, and Sister Talley WELL deserves it). Sister Talley, and the rest of the choir are SO, SO, annointed...I know I am repeating myself...but it TRULY was an exceptional blessing to be a part of it!
Carolyn and I were blessed to be able to share our mission with the congregation from Pastor Talley's pulpit. It was well received and the Graysville Church of God chose to bless our mission financially. We also had the opportunity to meet several ardent missions supporters, we are grateful to each and every one of them. We look forward to our next meeting with Tony and Sue (Tony is a fellow Pilot, and his wife Sue is going "gung-ho" to help the mission out). A special thanks to them!
A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE BROTHERS AND SISTERS AT THE CHURCH OF GOD, WORLD MISSIONS OFFICES THAT HELPED TO ARRANGE THIS SPIRITUALLY "FILLING" TIME FOR CAROLYN, CASA DE SERVICIO, AND I.
THANK YOU!
